JULY CHALLENGE | DARK INSIDE

Hi Everyone,
New month and a new challenge.  This one is a little on the darker side.  I like to throw these challenges in every now and then to get everyone thinking outside the box.  And to be honest I always think they are going to scare a lot of people off but we always get more than usual players which is really nice and the layouts that come through are awesome!

So this months challenge is called "Dark Inside".  There is a little bit of goth girl in this moodboard and there are so many things that you can draw inspiration from.  Remember you don't have to be inspired by the whole moodboard but do let us know what elements took your fancy and the photos must all be about girls.

The Design team girls have all been inspired by different parts can you work them out?

This months sponsors are The Resin Rainbow and of course our international sponsor is Accent Scrapbooking.  Make sure you head over and check out all the goodies they have on offer.

I can't wait to see your take on this months challenge.

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER | JANUARY AND FEBRUARY WINNERS

Hi Lovelies,

Time for some winners

January's Challenge was a easy colour moodboard to get everyeone in the grove of the New Year.  I thought the colour Blue for girls might scare a few people but we had the most players of a challenge we have had in a while so thank you to everyone that played along.

The Australian Winner of The Resin Rainbow prize pack is Anne McLaughlin

The International winner of the Accent Scrapbooking prize pack is Stephanie Brown.

Can both of you lovely ladies contact me via the Facebook page so that I can arrange your prizes to be sent out.

Now on to February's Star-crossed Lovers Sketch by Sue had some awesome entries.  We like to push the boundaries here at Scrap the Girls and I know the title would have most people thinking couple photos but again, some great entries were submitted.

The winner of the D-lish Scraps prize is Brenda

The International winner is Michelle Henderson From New Zealand. The colours of this and the mixed media element won my heart.

Again, can both of you lovely ladies contact me via the Facebook page so that I can arrange your prizes to be sent out.

Thanks again to everyone that plays along each month, it is so great to see all your creations and scraplift your ideas :P

We can't wait to see what you all come up with this month.

JANUARY CHALLENGE | "GOT THE BLUES"

HAPPY NEW YEAR LOVELIES!

I hope that Santa was good to you and you have all your New Years Resolutions listed ready to be broken by the end of the month. :P  I have decided once again to partake in the Ali Edwards One Little Word but without all the commitment of the document in an album stuff.  I am going to do it via my favourite social media - Instagram.  You know all the pictures without all the bulls*&% that goes with it...well less of it any ways.  I would love to know your resolutions and if you are participating in One Little Word so leave a comment!

So, it's a New Year and there are a few changes taking place this year.  Skai had decided to step back due to other commitments and we are adding two new team members.... A homegrown talent of Gwen Wruck and an international, Veronique Gagne.  You will recognise Gwen as a big contributor to the now defunked Scrapbooking Memories Magazine and she was also one of last years masters. Veronique guested for me last year and loved the challenge so much she accepted my offer to join the team.  Both Gwen and Veronique have very different styles and I know you will find some inspiration from these lovely ladies.  Go and check out their links in the side bar or under her take on this months challenge.

On to this months challenge.  I decided to start things off easy with a Colour moodboard.  Remember you can be inspired by anything about the moodboard but it has to include the featured colour....the title is "Got the Blues"  so you guessed it the feature colour is Blue.

I know I have been a little behind in announcing Novembers winner so both the November and December winners will be announced later this week.  Keep an eye out for that.

This months sponsor is The Resin Rainbow so make sure you link up to be in the running for an awesome prize.
As always Accent Scrapbooking will be supplying an International winners prize all throughout the year so everyone is in the running for some awesome prizes.  We have locked in sponsors for the entire year already and most months we have more than one!

I can't wait to see where this month's moodboard takes you and please let us know what your 2018 plans/resolutions/one little words are!

Cheers
Krisy xx

Ps.  This is not a sponsored post from Ali Edwards One Little Word.  I just like the concept! My Instagram is @popleopod if you would like to check it out.

OCTOBER WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER | THINK PINK

Thank you to everyone who played along with last months challenge.  Breast Cancer is something that we all need to be vigilant about.  It is with heavy heart that I share my nan lost her battle with this disease on Tuesday.  Please make sure you check yourself out.

There was a huge number of entries in the challenge, so I am glad it inspired so many of you.  Please remember to add your country code to your entry.  Last week I put together all the challenges for next year and keeping with my "out of the box" inspiration, the design team girls have informed me that they are not like any other challenges around.  As for the design team, I would usually open up a DT call around now to start early next year however, our current design team has decided to stay on for another term.  I have however, added one new member and they will be live in January.  I may very well add more team members so if you were wanting to try out for the team or a guest feature drop me an email to popleopod@outlook.com.

We have just about filled out sponsor schedule for next year and I have managed to secure a few months with double sponsors so make sure you keep an eye out and play along.   I am just about ready to dive into Semester 3 with my studies so if you do message me and I don't message back within a day, message me again please.  A response might have slipped my mind.  Sorry.

Anyways, lets get on with announcing a winner.

This layout and the theme "Fairy Floss Hair" just nailed the Pink brief I think!
Congratulations to Jodie Digney for our Australian prize from The Resin Rainbow.

Our international winner is....Nicole Doiron.

Thanks again to our Sponsors for October The Resin Rainbow and Accent Scrapbooking.  If you haven't already please support out sponsors and head over and check out their stores.  If you are lucky enough to be a winner please send me an email or a Facebook message and I will arrange to get your prize out to you.

I can't wait to see what you all come up with this month. There are already some great entries.

OCTOBER CHALLENGE | THINK PINK

Hi, October is here and it is time for a new challenge.  This month we have a moodboard that is inspired by October being Breast Cancer awareness month.  Breast cancer affects so many people.  Just about everyone I know, knows someone that has survived, is battling or has lost the fight to the disease.  My nan is currently fighting a battle with it and it is awful to see such an independent lady become so fragile and weak in such a short period of time.  Make sure you are checking and double checking and don't hesitate to get things checked if you find something.  Head over to the National Breast Cancer Foundation Site to find out how to self examine.  If you can spare a few dollars you can also make a donation that may very well save a life. Here is the link here.  Every dollar helps plus every donation of $2 is tax deductible.

Here is this months Moodboard.

And here are the inspiration pages from the Design Team Girls:

This months sponsor is The Resin Rainbow for our homegrown winner.  If you haven't seen the stuff from the Resin Rainbow head over and check it out.  There is heaps of stuff to choose from or Janet can even help you out with custom make items.

As usual, Accent Scrapbooking is our International Sponsor open worldwide!

Remember you can load your entries via the Linky at the top or you can share them on the Facebook Page, its up to you.  You don't have to have a blog to play along.  Another thing to remember, our challenges are all about inspiration.  You don't have to directly relate it to an exact image on the moodboard.  We love thinking outside of the box here at Scrap the Girls.
