NOVEMBER CHALLENGE | "GIVE A GIRL SOME SHOES..."

Hi, Welcome back to another challenge.  This one I think is going to be pretty popular...EVERYONE will find something in this moodboard to inspire them.  So here it is....

The design team girls have a whole variety of layouts to inspire you, they are all very different.  I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

As always we have two prizes up for grabs this month.  One International flair pack from Accent Scrapbooking and this months Australian Sponsor is Flutterby Designs.  Please head over and check out what these companies have to offer.  There is something that will appeal to absolutely everyone and both are small "mum" businesses so you know who you are supporting when you buy from them.

Oh, and remember to put your country code on your entries so we know which prize you go into the draw for.

Have fun

HOME GROWN GUEST DESIGNER #5 | RACHEL DUTKO

This months Home Grown Guest designer is a lady I have watched develop a sense of style that is one to be noticed.  I was so surprised when she announced not very long ago that she finally had a layout published in Scrapbooking Memories Magazine.  How it hadn't happened sooner?  I just don't know! Please join me in welcoming Rachel Dutko to Scrap the Girls this month to play along with our sketch.

"Hi! My name is Rachel Dutko and I live in Adelaide with my husband and our 2 young boys.
I first started scrapbooking about 10 years ago, but after a big break I rediscovered it with a life-changing passion about 3 years ago. I love the fact that scrapbooking allows me to express my creativity and document my precious memories at the same time. I'm lucky enough to have had a career in the television industry for the past 15 years, and I am in my craft space most nights for some 'me' time after the daily demands of work and family.

I am currently on the Design Teams for 'Scrap The Boys' and 'Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia' challenge blogs, as well as the Paper Flourish Kit Club.
I have been published in Jot Magazine and Scrapbooking Memories (including the cover).
I really like using mixed media, texture, and learning new techniques and just having fun.

I'm thrilled and honoured to be this month's Home Grown Guest Designer, thanks Scrap The Girls for having me!"

Here is Rachel's layout.

Close ups

Thank you Rachel for playing along.  You have such a way with patterned papers.

Have you linked up your take on this month's sketch yet.  Remember if you don't have a blog you can always load it to the Facebook page.

Have you checked out this months sponsor Flutterby Designs yet?  There is a brand new release called Mad About You that I am sure you will love.  Check it out here.

I will be back within the week with this months International Guest Designer.  She always WOW's me with her creations.  As a bonus there is a process video too.  I can't wait to share it with you.

HOME GROWN GUEST DESIGNER #2 AUGUST 2016

Well, it's the middle of the month and you know what that means...It's time to share our Homegrown Guest Designer for August.  This month's Homegowner is a lady that I have been lucky enough to actually meet in real life and she is just as freaking awesome and cheeky as she appears to be through her art.  She is a very busy mum of two that has her own scrapbooking business, Flutterby Designs.  I am pleased to welcome Anita Rodway.

"So you know you're an artist if you go through a glue stick faster than a lipstick!? Well that's me!!  Hello, I'm Anita.  Graphic Designer / Full-time mummy to one boisterous 4 year old boy and a beautiful 1 year old girl (enjoying every bit of it!!)  & married to my best friend, Chris.  We live in Tamworth, the country music capital of Australia.  My love of art started at a young age and I had chosen my career pretty early.  I have always loved mixed media and the design process.  Never shying away from getting my hands messy.  I am lucky enough to say the quote "Do what you love, love what you do" applies to me.  I started scrapbooing about 10 years ago and I haven't stopped.  I have however since forgotten other basics live vacuuming, cooking etc - but we get by LOL.  Paper and paint are like therapy to me.  It calms me & satisfies my arty desires.  I have been on numerous Design and Creative Teams.  I am curretnly designing for Flutterby Designa dn Show Us Yout Stuff (Yay!!)  I've had layouts plublished in magazines such as Scrapbooking Memories, Scrapbooke Creations and Jot Magazine,  I have made many friends and met some awesomely talented people through scrapbooking that inspire me everyday.  I am truly grateful to have met them all.  My blog: http://anitarodway.blogspot.com.au/"

And here is Neet's take on this months Moodboard...These are totally her colours.

Neet's style it all about layers and paint.  She just nails it everytime.

What do you think?  I love that there is so much to look at and every time you look you see something different.

I will be back in a bit with our International Guest Designer for August.  She is from Finland and has a very distinct style.  Any guesses?
